Dig Pink Dress Down Day and Volleyball Game for Breast Cancer Research

DINK PINK has become a real tradition at our school. It started at least 8 years ago and for a donation of $3 dollars, students dress in pink and they get free admission into the Volleyball game.   Dig Pink is an event from the Sideout Foundation that connects volleyball with Breast Cancer awareness and research. It started here at SMSA with our volleyball team and they along with Mr. Svoboda have carried this worthy tradition on.  Friday, Oct. 14, 2016 is Dig Pink dress-down day at SMSA. All dress down must be appropriate and preferably students will wear at least some pink. By the way, just in case you don’t know the Term” “Dig” is a volleyball term when a player is able to return a shot by the other team that is particularly hard, fast and very low to the ground or in the net.  Good play on words and name!
