Come celebrate 20 years of SSA/SMSA success. SSA opened its doors in 1997 and was built upon and is still thriving today because of the hard work and dedication of its staff and students, past and present. We would love to see you on April 27th to catch up and reminisce. The event will take place @ The Yard Goats Stadium beginning at 6:00 PM on the party deck along first base. The cost is $40 which includes a Ball park style buffet from 6:00-8:30. There will be a UCONN baseball game vs. Tulane playing on the field for baseball enterainment.

Please join us at Sport and Medical Sciences Academy, located at 280 Huyshope Avenue, Hartford, CT for their 20th Anniversary celebration! All proceeds will benefit the SMSA PTO Scholarship Fund which has donated over $60,000 to graduating seniors since 2012. The game begins at 2:00 pm and the doors will open at 1:00 pm. Be sure to purchase your tickets in advance. If available, tickets will be sold at the door for $12 for students and $15 for adults. An online processing fee of $0.99 per ticket will be added to your final total. THE ONLINE BOX OFFICE FOR THIS EVENT CLOSES AT 11:59 PM THE NIGHT PRIOR TO THE GAME.

Any high school student interested in playing softball this spring must attend an informational meeting in room 109.
Meeting in Room 109
Being held in the Field House during blocks 3 and 4. Each team will consist of three players and the cost per team will be $15. All proceeds will go to the American Heart Association as part of Julia Beebe's capstone. Permission slips are available in the Library outside Mrs. Boutilier's office. Each player must get the slips signed by their 3rd and 4th block teachers, as well as their parents. The permission slips are due by February 26th and the tournament is limited to the first 12 teams. Please see Julia Beebe or Mrs. Boutilier with any questions.
Students can pay $3 to dress down. Proceeds will go to the Red Cross and the Dominican Republic Mission Team. The Red Cross provides humanitarian relief around the world to fund shelter stays, distribution of emergency supplies, and emergency response vehicles. The DR Mission Team provides health care and improves the living conditions of the towns and neighborhoods. The funds will greatly help children and families in need, giving them an opportunity of a better, healthier life. - Erika and Emir (Capstone project)
Senior Christina Marcoux is holding a Penny War between first block classes. The class that raises the most amount of money will get a free dress down day on Wednesday, March 7th. The winning class will know by Tuesday the 6th! The money raised will be donated to LOVE146 to help put an end to child trafficking and exploitation. Every penny counts.
If you would like to be a part of our 2019 exotic adventure to Thailand, Vietnam & Cambodia, there will be an informational meeting on Thursday, February 15th at 5pm in room 215. A $200 discount is still available. All eligible high school students and future 9th graders are welcome.
